According to an article in People Magazine, the Catan sisters are somewhat responsible for the Italian charm bracelet gaining popularity in the United States. Their company originated in 1998 when Ivette was traveling in Italy and was introduced to the new fashion items. Upon her return, she and her sister Gina created Linx & More to sell these bracelets to their upscale clientele in Los Angeles and Hollywood.
